What are your every day, must-reads, online or off?
News and current affairs sites, Facebook, emails, inspirational personal style blogs created by women of all ages.
You love vintage style!  What’s the best way to wear vintage so you don’t look like a Mad Men extra?
I never wear the same era head-to-toe.  It’s very ageing and makes me feel like a cardboard cut-out. I wear modern shoes, mostly because I have jumbo feet and can never find original 1970s platforms in my size!
I might wear a pretty, floral 1950s frock but with some African beads, tacky plastic and metal bangles and one of my favourite huge floral headbands.
Be brave and mix it up.

You’re from the land down under – who are some Australian designers that we should know about?
I no longer follow fashion designers religiously.
But I am partial to local design house, Black Milk Clothing, which designs, manufactures and distributes all of its amazing clothes from Brisbane and Melbourne.  It started out as a family business, the Lillis family, who live about 7km from me, so I have a real soft spot for supporting their innovative designs.
If you could give your 16 year old self advice, what would you say?
You’re on the right track.
Keep listening to what your heart is telling you, your instincts are ALWAYS right.

Your perfect day.  What would it look like?
It would have to involve food and feeling fabulous;).  Eating out with my husband, four children and my eldest son’s wonderful girlfriend.  Then all of us dancing to very loud music in the kitchen, playing dress-ups, drinking copious amounts of tea and the boys having a funk music jam on their guitars,
Also involved are lots of spontaneous hugs and kisses from me.

Thanks so much for sharing, Desiree!
