What are your every day, must-reads, online or off?
I love keeping up with my foodie friends’ blogs. Plus I try to read anything photography related both online and in print.

What’s your favorite spicy recipe these days?
It really depends on the day and what I’m craving. But right now I’m really loving anything Thai and spicy. I could eat my Thai Chicken and Pineapple curry every week.

What advice would you give to the less-spicy among us when we’re traveling through places with traditionally spicy food?
All countries that have spicy food also have countless dishes that are either less spicy or not spicy at all. Of course you can also ask for milder versions of the dish and most restaurants will accommodate their guests. Also it always helps to have a dairy based drink to quickly put out the fire in your mouth. Never reach for water as this only accentuates the spiciness.

If you could give your 16 year old self advice, what would you say?
It would be to live my life for me. To not do things expected of me but rather things that make me happy, allow me to grow as a person, and really get the most out of life. Also to believe in myself. I guess all of these things never really stop applying to us no matter our age.

Your perfect day. What would it look like?
Sunny, warm, holding hands with my husband as we take a long walk in an ancient European city. A stop at an art museum, dinner at a comfortable yet delicious restaurant, and followed by drinks at a live jazz bar.

Thanks so much for stopping by, Nancy!
