I have a very interesting full time job and my children are both at university, so I have an empty nest. My son is studying in Germany, my daughter in London and I am in a long-distance relationship. This situation is quite challenging but a lot of time is now dedicated to the blog which is growing fast! I am constantly trying to improve my blog which I never expected to be more than just a hobby… in fact it is not only keeping me very busy but I have met the most interesting and fabulous women worldwide and received such incredible new opportunities, that I definitely don’t want to miss. Who is your hero? I don’t have a single hero to look up to but I have two very best friends. The three of us have had our ups and downs in life and we shared tears and laughter and they have always been there for me. I am most grateful for their friendship. Who are your style inspirations? Olivia Palermo and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge Blogger friends like Olivia of The Corporate Catwalk , Luba of Well Being Blog or Katja of collected by Katja. Why is it important to love our bodies? “Looking good stems from feeling good. “ At my age our bodies naturally change and if I am constantly trying to fight this fact rather than embrace my feminine body, it will show and I will lose. Obviously there are summer days in a bikini where I wish to have my 30-year old body back but other than that I focus on a healthy lifestyle (which does include a glass of red wine!) and keep on dressing body flattering. If you could give your 16 year old self advice, what would you say? Live the moment and believe in yourself! It’s OK to not believe what everyone else does. And never be afraid to dream. Do you have a favorite quote? If so, what is it? When it comes to fashion and style, I love Coco Chanel’s quote: “I don’t understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little – if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that’s the day she has a date with destiny. And it’s best to be as pretty as possible for destiny.” Your perfect day. What would it look like? Definitely a very relaxed day! I am an early bird and love to use the morning hours for my cup of tea, checking emails, reading my favourite blogs and what’s up for the day… When my daughter is with me, we enjoy a healthy breakfast with homemade jam, fresh fruit and a big cup of Cappuccino together – and a long chat! As a 100% summer person, this should ideally take place on my sunny terrace where I could spend the whole day, looking after my garden, relaxing on my sun lounger, reading magazines… come evening, a nice drink will conclude my day!
