Favorite Karina dress: The Audrey.
How did you discover Karina Dresses? One day while browsing for dresses for some occasions coming up, I came across Karina Dresses and after googling to find reviews – reading what style others loved made me really start to admire what Karina had to offer (& excited to try them all on!!)
What are your everyday, must-reads, online or off? TMZ (I have an addiction to celebrity gossip), celebrity Twitter feeds, and I have an insane addiction to celebrity novels. Lately, I’m reading “Balancing It All” by Candace Cameron Bure and have a newfound love for Marie Force and am usually zipping through one of her book series’!
What’s your most recent awesome accomplishment?
I’ve been working out regularly and eating healthy on a regular basis and have finally started the process of losing that baby weight (my oldest is 5 and youngest almost 3, so this is a HUGE accomplishment to finally start losing that baby weight!) Why is it ALWAYS so easy to put it on, but never to take it off!?!
Who is your hero?
My mom. She passed away when I was 20, but I strive to be a mom like her everyday. I want my daughter to look up to me and look back and remember some of her favorite moments with me like I do with my mom.
Who are your style inspirations?
Audrey Hepburn (hence why the Audrey is one of my favorites!) I love her classic style. I always looked up to her true iconic style growing up and even remember doing reports on her style and talent. Aside from her, being a mom, I tend to follow celeb moms like Tori Spelling, Candace Cameron Bure, and Emily Maynard and find myself frequenting Possessionista to see if I can score their fab “mom digs!”
Why is it important to love our bodies?
I think (especially for me) being a mom of a young daughter, it’s so important to show the younger generation we have confidence. It’s important to feel confident in our skin and generate that positive image off to the younger generation looking up to us. Who’s on the cover on Sports Illustrated isn’t reality. What matters most is being healthy and I think it’s important for ourselves to feel great and have a positive outlook on our bodies so it will reflect our image of life in general!
If you could give your 16 year old self advice, what would you say?
Make mistakes. Love. Cry. Have FUN. Don’t wish life away. Our life 10 years down the road is going to mean so much more than what we wore, or how we looked, enjoy being a teenager now while you can. There’s time to be an adult later. Strive for the best and always be yourself… you will look back 10 years down the road and have no regrets.
Do you have a favorite quote? If so, what is it?
“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.” – 1 Corinthians 16:13
Your perfect day. What would it look like?
My kids sleeping in until the sun is shining bright, running into our bedroom in giggles then heading out for a walk on the beach, a little yoga by the waves, and an afternoon of sunshine reading a good book and watching the kids play… ended by a glass of wine as the sun goes down!…. Heavenly and like it’s from a movie, right!?
