How did you get into blogging and what do you love most about it?

Blogging started as a way to showcase some of my favourite brands and pieces of clothing, and I am so lucky that it has grown into something where I can collaborate with brands and help to promote their new releases. My favourite things about blogging would have to be working with amazing small businesses and styling pieces for photoshoots.

We love working with you, too! What do you do for work besides blogging?

I am a recently qualified accountant (specifically an external auditor) at a Big 4 firm.

What would an ideal Saturday look like for you?

My ideal Saturday would involve some napping, shooting outfits for the blog, watching new episodes of RuPaul's Drag Race, and eating pizza.

Any other hobbies or interests you want to share?

have been a part of the theatre world for over a decade, treading the boards as well as doing just about everything backstage and sitting on numerous community theatre committees. I have a degree in musicology (as well as commerce) and so I also really enjoy listening to and learning about music, and flexing my music and general knowledge skills on my weekly pub quiz team.

How would you describe your personal style?

My personal style is definitely inspired by the 1950s pinups, as I tend to dress in fun prints, bright colours, and big petticoats. Because I dress pinup every day I also make sure that my style is elegant and work appropriate.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?

I have Scottish ancestry and so I would love to visit my family castle one day, and Iceland and Japan are on my list as well.

Your personal style is fabulous! How would you describe it?

My personal style is a mash up of times past -- a mixture of mod patterns and a-line skirts with secretary dresses and a good 80s puffed sleeve. I love mixing patterns and bright colors, have a definite thing for plaid, and have been known to pair fabrics in unconventional ways. Many of my clothes come from second-hand shops and are altered in some way -- I'm always letting down hems or adding buttons to mix things up a little. Shoes and earrings are my favorite accessories, and I'm always on the lookout for neat vintage glasses frames.

Love it! Which Karina style is your favorite?

I first bought a Lauren 10 years ago now, and I still wear it!! But lately, Katharine is my staple -- it's got perfect lines and hits me right at the knee, which feels sensible enough for work and playful enough for the weekend. And Ruby might be my new favorite -- I often have to pin wrap dresses because the v goes too low, but the Ruby neckline hits a bit higher than most wrap dresses, which I like.

What do you do for work?

I'm a college professor, and teach teachers how to teach. Karina dresses are the perfect uniform, rain or shine, snow or sun.

Thank you! We love making things easier for you. What do you like to do on the weekends?

An ideal Saturday includes a walk on the Walkway over the Hudson with my family, chasing my two-year-old around the yard, cooking, and getting lost in a good book.

Any hobbies or interest you would like to share?

My grandmother taught me to crochet and knit when I was 5, and I've been doing so ever since. I've made hundreds of sweaters, hats, scarves, legwarmers, blankets, tea cozies -- you name it. If it can be made out wool, I've probably made it! I don't blog that much these days, but you can see some of my projects at brookerhollow.com.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be?

If I could travel anywhere, it would probably be to space. Before I decided to become an educator, I was kind of obsessed with becoming an astronaut!

Thanks, Kiersten!

I'm a high school English teacher. I love teaching and the kids are mostly great, but it is a seriously exhausting job sometimes.

What would an ideal Saturday look like for you?

An ideal Saturday would start with blogging time and coffee ... my favorite way to start the day.  I would love time spent with my husband, maybe a day trip to Carmel, with shopping, eating, and exploring.  Then home for play time with our dogs and cat.

How would you describe your personal style?

I'd say my personal style is modern classic with an edge.  I like to add a bit of rocker chic or boho to a look to really make a look my own.

What's your next dream vacation?

My husband and I have created a travel list.  We just got back from a fun trip to Puerto Vallarta. I think our next big trip will be New Zealand or Japan.
