You’re the writer and creator of the web series So Natural.  In one episode, you joke about vintage fashion.  What’s your favorite era for fashion?  Do you ever wear vintage yourself?
I like wearing my grandma’s underwear, in particular ;).  Yes, I love vintage fashion, esp the 60’s and 70’s.  There are so many great places to find vintage clothing in LA and online.  In high school, one of my faveorite things was to dress up in my mom’s old clothing, even if it just furthered my reputation as a weirdo in my hometown of Raleigh, NC.  But I still have some of those pieces, and love to wear them, especially all of the cool purses from India.

You work with an all-female cast.  What’s the best part about working with women?
We talk about our periods a lot.

But seriously, I work with some incredibly talented female comics: Heather Horton, Heather Marion, Sofiya Alexandra and Emily Button.  It’s a blast, I love working with these ladies, they can be so raw and raunchy and unfiltered, it’s great and very, very dirty sometimes.  There’s an awesome sense of camaraderie.  And of course, we talk about our periods, A LOT.

What are your every day, must-reads, online or off?
So many, but I’m a total junkie for Modcloth, Apartment Therapy, A Beautiful Mess, Pinterest, and anything else with beautiful photos.  I love to read Jezebel, The NY Times, The LA Times, Indie Wire and lots of writing, design and film-making blogs.  In terms of books, right now I am reading Imperfect by Melissa Clark.  And of course, I’m always checking out the So Natural YouTube channel and blog (shameless plug!)

If you could give your 16 year old self advice, what would you say?
It doesn’t  matter what anyone else thinks, just go out and do IT!

Your perfect day.  What would it look like?
A warm sunny LA day at the ocean with my husband, and 2-year-old, margaritas with friends, then a Woody Allen movie!

Thanks so much for sharing, Leena!
