Favorite Karina dress: I adore the Megan Short Dress – the polka dots are so pretty and wrap dresses look great on everyone! Such an easy dress to wear and tiny polka dots always look so chic.
How you know Karina: From reading The Karina Chronicles

What are your every day, must-reads, online or off?
I keep up to date with what’s going on in the world via my blog subscriptions and my Facebook news feed. The blogs I read every day are: Fashionista, Chameleonic, Couture AllureRaising My RainbowIf The Internet Was My Closet Plus lots and lots of others – I love discovering new blogs every day. And if I still feel I need to catch up I’ll use the BBC News app on my phone

You love vintage.  What’s your favorite fashion era?  And how do you style clothing from that period so that it doesn’t look too ‘costumey’?
My favourite fashion era is the sixties – I love the big sunglasses and mod-style fashions. I have to admit though, the more I blog about vintage fashion, the more I discover to love in all of the different decades. Except the 80s that is – I’m just not ready to revisit that decade again just yet!

I think it’s nice to look ‘costumey’ from time to time, but wearing vintage fashion for me is all about mixing vintage pieces with wardrobe staples to bring things up to date. I’ve got some gorgeous sixties mini dresses, but quite often wear them with skinny jeans and big biker boots. Don’t stick to style rules – make your own up, its much more fun!

You also love old movies.  Which movies have given you the most style inspiration?
My favourite old movie is An Affair to Remember  – Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant were such a stylish couple. I also adore the costumes Ginger Rogers wore to dance in – they were just made for movement and were so glamorous. I grew up wanting to wear dresses like that every day!

If you could give your 16 year old self advice, what would you say? Be yourself, have no fear and do I thing each day which frightens you – it’s sometimes uncomfortable but it’s amazing what you can achieve… Also don’t try and please everyone else, it’s impossible and you’ll only regret not following your own passions. Be brave!

Your perfect day.  What would it look like?
Lying under a big shady tree on a warm sunny day having a delicious picnic with friends and family…Laughing, having fun and just relaxing
