How do you know Karina?
I met Karina at one of her trunk shows at Dig in Saugerties.  I bought several dresses and after that I was a bit hooked.

What are your every day must reads?
New York Times, the Upstater Blog, Curbed, and Smitten Kitchen.

You’re a corporate lawyer. What are the biggest misconceptions about working in law?
When people think of lawyers, they typically think of the television show Law & Order, which makes it difficult for people to understand what you do if you are a lawyer that does not go to court.  I am a corporate lawyer and work with companies in all types of situations (formation, acquisitions, financings, commercial contracts, etc.). My role usually involves a mix of problem solving and risk allocation.

You own 20+ Karina dresses!  What do you love about them?
I have never really been a dress person.  In my initial purchase, I bought eight Karina dresses at Dig!  I was drawn to the versatility, patterns and different styles.  I have worn Karina dresses to all sorts of events from daily wear to the office or on the weekends to special occasions like weddings and holiday events.  I like that I am able to take the same dress and change it based on whether I chose to wear it will heels, sandals or boots and with a jacket or a sweater.  In addition for the wrap styles (Rita, Gala), I find that the fit is much better than other wrap dresses.

What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?
This is a tough one, but I think I would tell my 16 year old self that the journey is part of the fun and that it is okay to take time out to enjoy life — my 35 year old self could use this advice as well!

What does your perfect day look like?
My perfect day would have to include a bit of sleeping in, spending the day with family and friends and enjoying the outdoors.  It might also include a nap and some good wine.

Thanks so much for sharing, Corby!
