When traveling, you don’t want to pack too much that you are left having to lug around a heavy suitcase; you certainly don’t want to pack too little that you won’t have anything ready in case an unexpected outing either. That is why the items you pack when traveling should be versatile and wearable.
Here are a few things every woman should remember to bring when traveling:
In general, synthetic fabric makes for a quick, wrinkle-free dry, therefore, clothing made out of this material would be suitable to pack with you. You want to also make sure your clothing is appropriate to wear in multiple settings.
Tunics: Tunics are the epitome of versatility. They are light enough to be worn on a warm day while protecting your skin from the sun, but they can also keep you warm on a cool day. You can dress them up or dress them down, so they can make as for an easy transition of daytime to nighttime wear.
Dress: Pick a dress you can wear in both a casual setting as well as formal setting. Purchasing a convertible dress, one that you can create multiple looks with, may serve as a good investment as a multi-wear clothing piece for your next trip. Karina Dresses are great for travel!
Pants: Pack jeans, leggings or cargo pants (depending on your style and the collection of clothing you are packing). Choose pieces that you can mix and match for maximum use and wearability.
Swimsuit: There is nothing like the appeal of a dip in crystal clear waters. Many destinations offer beachside accommodations, such as Malibu hotels or Destin condo rentals, so a swimsuit is a must.
Jacket: A light jacket will come in handy for unexpectedly cool days.
Underwear: Bring enough underwear. Follow a plus two day rule – pack as if you are going to stay an extra two days at your destination.
Sports bra: Along with your regular bras, don’t forget a sports bra if you plan on doing a lot of outdoor vigorous activities, such as hiking.
Pajamas: Pajamas tend to be forgotten when packing. Make sure you bring your set.
Jewelry: Keep jewelry to a minimum as you don’t want to lose anything valuable while traveling.
Footwear: Bring at least one pair comfy pair of sandals, rubber shoes and a dressier pair, such as a solid-colored kitten heel.
Handbag: You will want to bring a versatile handbag that is large enough to fit everything you need, while not being so bulky that you are burdened while traveling and sightseeing.
Beauty & Toiletries
Moisturizer: You can choose a tinted moisturizer for extra coverage. Opt for one that has sunscreen as well to protect your skin.
Sunscreen: To protect the rest of your skin, pack sunscreen. The higher the SPF, the longer the protection.
Makeup for everyday look: Adding a touch of mascara, blush and lip gloss can make you look refreshed and awake.
Small, evening makeup palette: This is in case you want to wear makeup for a special night out.
Tweezers/Razors: If you wish to stay on top of your grooming during your trip, remember to pack these.
Baby/Feminine Wipes: Keep this handy along with hand sanitizer for hygienic purposes.
Power Outlet Adapter: If you know you are traveling to a place outside of the United States that uses a different power outlet, you should purchase a power outlet adapter from a local store to bring along with you. With that, don’t forget to bring your phone and phone charger with you.
Digital camera: If you are planning on bringing a digital camera with you, you may want to purchase a secure digital, or SD card, for extra storage space for your photos. Remember to also pack batteries and the battery charger as well.
Pack these items along with you and you’re all set to go!
