Finding comfortable yet stylish clothes is never an easy task and it is ten times more difficult during pregnancy. I’m 24 weeks pregnant and I’ve hated nearly all the maternity clothes my local malls have to offer – they’re either too constricting or too baggy, too frumpy or trendy to the point of looking like I’m trying too hard. So you can imagine how thrilled I was when Karina dresses offered to send me some of their dresses to accompany me on my journey to motherhood.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Karina dresses, they are a US based company who make dress for every body type and shape out there. Their dresses are made out of the most soft and stretchy microfibre ever, that feels really good on my skin. And best of all? They don’t need any special care! They don’t wrinkle, can be machine washed and air dried and don’t require any ironing. Doesn’t that sound like a dream come true?
Still, I was a little skeptical whether the dresses that fit me so well pre pregnancy would fit me even now, baby bump and all. So I decided to wear one on a recent outing to visit Old Lyon, one of UNESCO’s World Heritage sites in France. Here I am wearing Karina Dresses’ Clara dress: in this picture, I’m standing in the midst of some ruins from Lyon’s oldest church.
Isn’t the dress fabulous? There are so many things that I adore about the it – the great fit that shows off my baby bump without sacrificing comfort, the gorgeous colour that is perfect for fall, the unique neckline and the fact that it is long enough to cover my tummy without being too short in the front. All in all, it’s the perfect maternity dress and I wouldn’t change a thing about it. The best part though, is that this is my pre pregnancy size! So I’m looking forward to wearing it post partum as well, especially in the early days of motherhood where I’ll need something that is ‘easy wear, easy care’. Thank you Karina Dresses!
