What are your every day, must-reads, online or off? Facebook, twitter, “The Web That Has no Weaver: Chinese Medicine”, my favorite fashion blogs, some journals of medicine.

What’s you most recent awesome accomplishment? I think recently completing my blog, but what surpasses this is getting my pain managed after 6 years of having an incurable illness.

Who is your hero? I would probably say my family, and my husband. They have been there for me, when my illness was diagnosed 3 years ago. Since there is no cure, I have to deal with pain on a daily basis. I get a great deal of help from my PT. ( she would be included as a hero as well!) I get support from my family and husband, knowing that I have both good and bad days, and may need one of them to talk to, when it can get tough. I have always been an advocate for my own health, and have come across many things on my own through research and reading. My husband has stuck it out with me through sickness and in health, and been there to support as well.

Who are your style inspirations?I would say my hair inspiration is Veronica Lake, I love the old Hollywood glamour style, and I do my hair close to hers, with waves down one side. As far as fashion, my look is more classic, but I love vintage jewelry as well, along with some vintage looks, so it is a mixture of styles I like. I do think the 20s-40s, had it right where women wore dresses and hats, and men in their dapper suits and hats looked smart as well.

Why is it important to love our bodies? It is the only one we have. Early in life, I used to hear  ” At least you’ve got your health!”, but it is so true. When we love our bodies, we can exude health, happiness, contentment, as well as confidence.

If you could give your 16 year old self advice, what would you say? Make sure you are yourself, feel good about what you do, and don’t worry about what other’s think. Don’t take for granted the little things in life.

Do you have a favorite quote? If so, what is it? Fashion quote from Ralph Lauren:Fashion is not necessarily about labels. It’s not about brands. It is about something that comes from within you.”

Favorite Karina dress?  I do not presently own one, but I like the Audrey as my first choice, and really like the Missoni-like purple one you presently are showing. My other favorite print of this dress, is the silver python. I have a pretty small waist, normally wear a 2-4 in dresses, so the fact that many of your dresses can fit a range is great.

How did you discover Karina Dresses? I responded to a tweet by another fashion blogger, regarding cost per wear, believing that initially you may pay more upfront for a piece of clothing, but it comes down to how many times you wear it, shows that it can be quite cost-friendly.

Your perfect day.  What would it look like? I would be pain free, staying at a Cabin in the Smokey Mountains, with a hot tub, some delicious breakfast, and enjoying the beautiful view with my husband. Oh, and a Jacuzzi tub is usually included as well!
