We threw on our international dress and donated supplies to Telem Center For The African Child, Inc. Telem Center is a not-for-profit dedicated to providing the African children of the NYC region an opportunity to celebrate their cultural backgrounds. An International Dress Story: Telem Center For The African Child, Inc.

Telem is a non profit providing children of African descent an opportunity to celebrate their cultural heritage, invoke a sense of pride in their ancestry, and increase their self esteem through recreational camping activities, cultural and education programs. Telem aims to nurture self-aware and confident individuals who serve as cultural ambassadors that go on to effect change in their local and global communities and increase understanding and tolerance in this diverse society.

You can see more about what Telem means in the video below. Have a cause you think Karina Dresses should support? We want to hear from you. Email us at karinadressesmktg@gmail.com.

Dear Ms. Cousineau,

Thank you for donation of trims and notions to Materials for the Arts. We were fortunate to recently benefit from this donation when we dropped by to look for supplies for art workshops at our camp this summer. We will be using the items we picked up to create Galimotos – toy cars, trucks and vehicles created from scrap pieces of metal, wire and other materials.

Telem Camp is a program of Telem Center for the African Child, a NYC based nonprofit organization that provides children of African descent an opportunity to explore and celebrate their heritage through cultural, educational and recreational programs throughout the year.

Given the traditional African practice of raising children by community participation, we thank you wholeheartedly for joining our global village and making a significant contribution towards the development of cultural and civic-minded youth ambassadors.

Sincerely,

Diana Musa, President
