Jenn at The Rebel Chick does a little of everything: she bakes, she blogs, she binge watches reality television into the wee hours of the morning…and she loves to travel in her favorite summer dresses by Karina Dresses! Jenn is a strong believer in Carpe Diem and strives to make the most of everyday, which leaves little time for worry about what she’s going to wear. That’s why she loves Karina Dresses so much; Karina Dresses offers lovely summer dresses (Jenn’s favorite wardrobe staple) that flatter every body – and everybody! You can find Jenn sharing her life in Miami and her adventures around the world on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
When summer hits Miami, I feel like a kid on the last day of school: F R E E D O M! I love to travel and I am always looking for new places to explore during the long, carefree days of summer. It can be overwhelming when planning a trip to a new destination, but don’t fret, there are so many ways to make the process easier and ensure that you have a fantastic time, wherever you go! This summer, I have focused on places where I can just pack a few summer dresses, comfy sandals, my passport and go! With the right technology, summer travel doesn’t have to be stressful!
3 Apps for Stress-Free Travel
Tripit: By far, the most essential app for keeping your travel itineraries in order is Tripit. It’s a free app available for every iOS and is set up online. When you make a hotel reservation, book a flight, set up a tour – as long as you use the same email address that you registered with Tripit, your reservations and bookings will be directed to your Tripit account and kept in one handy location. No more searching through emails to remind yourself of what you’re doing, when you’re doing it – it’s all chronologically sorted for you! Booking a concert in the next city over? It will show up in Tripit. Heading to Napa Valley on vacation with your friend? Tripit will organize your itinerary for you – you can even email a link to friends/family so that they know where they can find you in case of an emergency. It’s also a great way to share your flight information with friends that you’re traveling with. They’ll see exactly when you’re landing so there’s no frantic “Where are you? Are you here yet” text messages while you’re trying to change into one of your favorite Karina Dresses summer dresses in the airport bathroom after a 5 hour flight…
Tip: You can also pay for Tripit Pro, which has an annual fee of $49, which allows you to set up flight alerts, track refund options, 120 different reward points programs, seat changes and more! If you are a frequent traveler, this is really worth it. If you only travel a little bit, there is an added value but I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary.
Summer dresses are a must when traveling – I received so many compliments on the Penelope by Karina Dresses!
Viator: Viator is a fantastic website and free app that allows you to research and book available tours in every destination. You can book and pay on their website or their free app, and pull up confirmation to show the tour guide upon arrival. You can search by destination and type of activity, arrange for group tours, and of course you can read all of the reviews available right there! I have booked tours in Italy and Dominican Republic using Viator and I love how easy it is to use their app!
Tip: Look for special deals – sometimes Viator offers 20% off certain tours that you can’t get directly through the tour company.
Uber: I very rarely rent a car when I am traveling because I tend to stay in centralized, urban locations. I do a lot of walking, being picked up by tour companies, public transportation and of course – using Uber! Uber is a great app but it’s not yet available in every city, so check to make sure it’s available before heading somewhere new. The concept is simple: download the free Uber app (search online for “Uber Promos Code” before downloading because there are always $10-$30 first-time user promos available) and connect your credit card. When you need a ride, simply open the app and search for the type of car you want, and they will come to pick you up! It’s much nicer than a taxi, you never have to worry about carrying cash because your credit card is connected and automatically pays for the ride. My friends and I used Uber all over Napa Valley – we didn’t take a cab even once!
Tip: If you have an American Express card, connect it to your Uber account. You can use your American Express rewards to pay for Uber rides, and you earn double rewards on Uber fares!
Don’t Forget Your Summer Dresses!
Of course, stress-free travel isn’t all about apps. You need to be comfy and stylish while you’re out exploring, don’t you? I always bring along my favorite summer dresses by Karina Dresses when I travel so that I don’t have to worry about what I am going to wear, ironing first thing in the morning – I just get dressed and go!
I am currently in love with the Penelope by Karina Dresses, it puts all of my other summer dresses to shame! The Penelope by Karina Dresses is perfect for my triangle frame and even has pockets. what more can a girl ask for?
