Dear Ms. Cousineau:
My name is Joyce Adewumi, and I am the president of New York African Chorus Ensemble. We are a 501 (c) 3 organization that uses the arts to combat issues of racial/ethnic discrimination and violence. Our members represent the diverse cultural
communities that make NYC such a vibrant cultural city. As a community based not-for-profit organization, we provide free training in African music and dance, and present concerts for free or at low cost in low income communities in New York City. In addition, we organize the annual NYC’s Multicultural Festival which took place on May 31, 2014.
On the behalf of myself and the members of New York African Chorus Ensemble Inc, I wish to express our heartfelt gratitude for the Trim / Notion supplies donated to Materials for the Arts which we used during this year’s NYC’s Multicultural Festival.
Once again, we thank you for your donations to Materials for the Arts, Department of Cultural Affairs.
